About the Brand

What is Scentral Zone?
We’re a women-owned and led company that creates personal care products with a lot of heart. Everything we make is crafted with clean, natural, plant-based ingredients. They’re naturally scented with essential oils and designed to not just smell amazing, but also deliver real aromatherapy benefits you can feel.

What’s next on the horizon for Scentral Zone?
Our business model focuses on expanding our line with innovative new offerings, so we plan to continue exploring trendy and unique skincare, haircare, grooming, wellness, and fragrance products.

What’s the meaning behind the name “Scentral Zone”?
We set out to create products that are scented for the individual using them—not overpowering scents that fill an entire room. In other words, our products stay (s)central to your personal zone.

Leadership & Values

In a sea of clean beauty brands, what makes yours stand out?
The beauty industry is largely self-regulated, so it’s up to brands to ensure product safety and transparency. Many claim to be “clean” while still using questionable ingredients—we don’t. Additionally, very few clean, plant-based beauty brands remain affordable, but we’ve made accessibility a core part of our mission.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned about leading a business?
A company’s success depends entirely on its people. We have a hardworking, talented, passionate team—that’s what keeps us moving forward!

How do you stay motivated during tough or uncertain times?
We launched our first products just two and a half years ago. I know this journey takes time, and I have a clear vision for what this brand can and will become. And I’m fully committed to making that vision a reality because I believe in our team, our products, and our mission.

Product Philosophy

What led you to include aromatherapy as a core element in your products?
Our original product—our wearable essential oil diffusers—makes it easy to enjoy aromatherapy anywhere. So when we started developing personal care, I knew it had to do more than just smell nice. By infusing aromatherapy into everything we create, our products not only smell amazing but also serve a meaningful purpose—helping you feel good, too!

How do you scent your products without using synthetic fragrances?
Creating complex fragrances using only plant-based ingredients like essential oils, hydrosols, and CO2 extracts can be challenging and limiting. That’s why our R&D team is always exploring new materials and experimenting with creative blends to achieve the depth and character we want. It’s kind of “forced” us to develop unique, original scents you won’t find anywhere else.

Do you personally test every product before launch?
Yes, that’s the fun part! I trust my team to develop high-quality, great-smelling products, but I never release anything I haven’t personally tested. While it varies by product, the main attributes we evaluate are function, texture, viscosity, absorption, appearance, finish and scent.

Favorites & Inspiration

Was there a moment in your life that made you rethink the ingredients in your personal care products?
I discovered that my daughter has extremely sensitive skin, along with several conditions including eczema, rosacea, keratosis pilaris, and even a chlorine allergy. It made me realize how important the products we put on our skin truly are.

In general, what’s your favorite scent?
I love coconut, but it’s tough to get a strong scent using only natural ingredients. I also lean toward florals like jasmine and geranium, and love anything that smells like sweet almonds or tomato leaf (try galbanum essential oil if you also like the smell of tomato leaves)!

What’s your favorite Scentral Zone product?
I’m genuinely proud of everything we’ve created! That said, my daily go-tos are the Toning Face Mist and Sleepy Time Pillow Mist. We’re also launching a Rejuvenating Face Serum and Magnesium Body Lotion next month, and I can’t wait to share them!
